Sluggish recovery for UK economy in 2010, says CBI

  • Economic recovery in 2010 will be sluggish says the CBI and warns the government not to make things worse with tax rises.
The UK's economic recovery will not pick up speed until the middle of next year, according to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).    The CBI’s economic forecast, published two days before the Budget, said the economy is expected to grow in the first two quarters of 2010, by 0.3% and then 0.4% respectively, and by a slightly faster 0.5% in the next two quarters.
