The business secretary, Lord Mandelson has defended the actions taken by the government during the global recession, and hailed UK businesses as “the real heroes". But his remarks didn't entirely meet with favour at a gathering of entrepreneurs hosted by the Department of Business, Innovation, and Skills at Downing Street.
