A new report from Deloitte suggests the length of companies’ audited financial statements has increased by more than 50% in four years.
Financial statements of listed companies have grown by 57% in the four year period to 2009, and now average 47 pages in length, according to a new report from Deloitte. In the last year alone, a growth of 6% was reported. If the 2008/2009 increase is repeated every year through to 2020, the average length will be over 100 pages solely for the audited financial statements.
