  • Marks & Spencer is changing and so is its finance function as Ian Dyson, Group Finance and Operations Director for the firm, explains.
Marks & Spencer has been a bastion of the UK high street for over 125 years, but even a veteran brand needs to ring the changes. As the firm gears up to opening its doors to other brands in a bid to compete in an ever tougher market, so too the company's finance function is evolving and expanding.    Ian Dyson became Group Finance and Operations Director for Marks & Spencer in 2008, having previously been Group Finance Director. Previous finance roles include time at The Rank Group, Hilton Group and Le Meridien, a division of Forte.
