Outsourcing the HR function
As the pressure on companies to cut costs and boost efficiencies increases, outsourcing is one solution. This has extended to human resources role, so should it be feared by those in HR. Annie Hayes reports.
It is worth clarifying the what is meant by HR outsourcing (HRO). Human resource outsourcing and offshoring are often confused as one in the same thing. Chris Noon, Head of Development for Hewitt Associates, a global HR outsourcing and consulting outfit tells me, however, that offshoring is merely a mechanism by which HR outsourcing can be delivered.
