Bristol Myers Squib confirms new CFO

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co's has formalised the appointment of Charles Bancroft as CFO.
Bancroft has been serving as acting CFO since the start of this year. He becomes the full-time occupant of the role vacated by Jean-Marc Hulet on December 31st 2010, taking responsibility for the direction and management of the company's fiscal operations.
He will report to Lamberto Andreotti, the company's chief operating officer who is set to become chief executive officer next month. "His tenure with Bristol-Myers Squibb has been marked by strong leadership and depth of experience in finance, earning him trust and respect from his peers,” said Andreotti.
"The Board of Directors and I have great confidence in Charlie's ability to provide the financial stewardship needed to help drive shareholder value.His tenure with Bristol-Myers Squibb has been marked by strong leadership and depth of experience in finance, earning him trust and respect from his peers across all functions and within the entire finance organisation."
Bancroft has held various positions within the finance organisation, including international assignments, senior leadership positions in the global pharmaceutical business and also with ConvaTec. He received a B.S. in Accounting from Drexel University, his M.B.A. in Finance from Temple University and is a certified public accountant.
