In April 2008, the company secured venture capital backing from the Stockford Group, the investment arm of Sir Peter Michael Holdings. Neil Robertson (Chief Executive Officer) was appointed by Stockford Group to lead the company's growth strategy. Neil has over 30 years experience in starting and growing technology organisations including Great Plains Software Limited and Neverfail Group Limited.

Compleat Software sells predominantly through a partner channel, offering a natural extension to the financial accounting software of the partner channels' existing clients and prospective new customers.
